Hazardous Chemical Events: Decontamination of Patients with Access and Functional Needs: CAPT Danielle Mills, CDC, Joe Padayhag, CDC, Katie Pugh, CDC

The presentation will address how existing decontamination protocols often lack clear guidance for individuals who require assistance with understanding instructions or performing necessary actions. It will also include insights gathered from literature reviews and interviews, shedding light on the challenges and potential solutions for effectively supporting these populations during such events.

In Our Own Voices: National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Georgia

A powerful presentation offering personal stories from individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions. Gain insight, challenge misconceptions, and learn how to support mental health awareness and advocacy.

FBI 101: Christian Foreman, FBI Community Outreach Specialist & Samone Brown, FBI Special Agent

For some people, the “FBI” represents mystery or a controversial history. CSI, fugitive hunts, and profilers may come to mind. How the American public views the FBI often comes from 100-plus years of law enforcement work combined with the expectations set by Hollywood and primetime TV mixed with the impressions you get from news, social media, and your peers. We will give the FBI 101 presentation- an overview of “who we are, what we do, and how we do it.” The presentation will also briefly highlight the Special Agent career.
